Our vision

Eastwood Baptist Church exists to develop relationships to impact people with Biblical answers to life’s challenges.

OUR VALUES

WHY WE DO WHAT WE DO

- The Power of God’s Word

The Bible is God’s absolute truth and is able to change lives. Because the bible is God’s absolute truth we believe it holds the answers to all of life’s challenges. So we teach and preach it in such a way as to provide biblical answers to whatever challenges you are facing. (Hebrews 4:12; 2 Timothy 3:16-17; Psalm 119:11)

- The Pursuit of Life Transformation

Christ followers chase a life that looks like Jesus. Salvation is immediate and happens fully when a person trusts Jesus Christ as their Savior. Life transformation is an ongoing lifelong process where we become more conformed into the image of Jesus (Romans 8:29; Romans 12:2).

- The Passion of Missional Living

Abundant life is only found through enjoying and serving Jesus every day. As we are transformed to be more like Christ, our passion to spend time with Him and serve Him on a daily basis grows. Missional living is showing Jesus through our life at work, school, home, or wherever life takes us. (John 20:21; Isaiah 6:8; 2 Corinthians 5:16-21

- The Priority of Authentic Relationships

Developing genuine relationships are at the heart of God’s purpose for life. Our mission statement begins with the idea that we seek to “develop relationships.” Because life was designed by God to be lived out with one another, we want to be intentional in developing relationships and friendships that will last a lifetime. (Galatians 6:2; Ephesians 4:2-3; Romans 12:10)

OUR STRATEGY

How are we doing it?

There are three entry points to Eastwood. Some are first introduced to Eastwood through one of our worship services, some are invited to be a part of one of our small groups and that becomes their entry point, and others get involved in a ministry project and that is their entry point. Whatever entry point you come through, our goal is to point you to our 4-week class called “Next Steps” where you can learn more about who we are, God’s plan for your life, and how you may use your giftedness to go in service to the Lord God.

OUR Mission MEASURES

When are we successful?

In the book of 1 Samuel, God calls out to a young man named Samuel (3:4) and Samuel answered, “Here I am Lord.” As we, like Samuel, commit ourselves to the Lord on a daily basis, these questions help us understand if we are being successful in practicing missional living through life transformation.
