Missions at Eastwood

At Eastwood, we believe that the local church is at the center of God's heart and plan for reaching the world with His love. Therefore, we are committed to a comprehensive strategy for achieving maximum global impact based on Acts 1:8. "But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be My witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in Judea and Samaria, and even to the ends of the earth."

To that end, we have established mission partnerships on four continents: Asia, Africa, Europe, and North America.

ASIA Partnership

Our newest partnership involves a mission trip to Asia in the early summer months, usually May and June. Our team uses English to build relationships with people that often times have heard very little about Jesus and have rarely, if ever, handled a Bible. It's exciting, challenging work.

cANADA pARTNERSHIP

Pastor Ben Simpson oversees our partnership with North American Mission Board church planter Jason Johnson in northern Saskatchewan, Canada. Jason and his family are evangelizing and planting churches amongst the First Nations peoples of Canada, primarily the Cree people. The trip includes door to door ministry and evangelistic Bible clubs and is an excellent opportunity for an entire family to go and serve on an international field in the name of Jesus! The trip usually happens in early July.

Pacific Rim partnership

New partnership - details coming soon.

Romania partnership

Our focus in Romania over the past five years is to share the grace of Jesus Christ with the Roma People, a discriminated group in that country. We lead in backyard VBS camps during the daytime and work alongside the pastors and church leaders in the afternoons and evenings. God has allowed us to make great strides in connecting with this sweet, talented and gracious group, leading many of them to Christ.

In South Africa, Eastwood’s team works in a large city teaching English to Muslim men and women immigrants, leading outreach projects to women, and providing encouragement and support to the missionaries.

Southeast asia partnership

This is an evangelism mission trip to a strategic area in Southeast Asia. We are targeting an unreached people group (UPG) where 2% or less is Christian. The basic strategy is to travel each day, being sensitive to the Holy Spirit’s guiding, and visiting towns and villages looking for “people of peace” from this people group. It will not be uncommon for you to stop and talk to people on the street or even enter homes for tea.
